quick little goodie bag

I have not been doing a lot of crafting lately, I need to start it up again. I am throwing together a box for my Sis in Ontario. She had back surgery, and I want to send her a little goodie box :) My parents Birthdays are coming up too, so I will send a few things in there for them as well. This is what I made while I was watching tv this evening.

I got this idea from Robyn ( and just made it my own. I stayed super simple as I was just sitting in front of the tv as I did this. I used Glitter Card stock and covered Bliss chocolates & hershey assort. chocolates (YUM!) I just used scraps of the glitter paper I had left over from another project. I put the chocolates in little treat bags I bought for super cheap at Walmart. I don't have a stapler (shocking I know) well I have one that staples the big designer staples, but thats too big, so I used ZOTS to seal it together. I didn't really have any scrap ribbon around, so I just used some scrap ribbon to make a ribbon like look. Then I just added a little jewel...and DONE! Simple, easy and cheap to make (since I just used my scraps)
what I learned for next time.....
*Use my stamps or cricut to spice it up a bit if I wanted to make it more fancy (this is just to my family :P )
* Use different, brighter colours
*Use some cute Ribbon
Hope you are all having a great day/night, and a shout out to DIANA, my only follower! THANKS for the support!! :)

hello Mr. Sunshine!

It has been so Beautiful this last week here! The sun is out everyday, and it is hot, hot hot! I LOVE IT!!
I recently bought a Tinker Bell Cart, but have not yet made anything. A friend of mine (& my hair stylist) is a HUGE fan of Tink, so I decided to try out the cart and made something for her! Here is what I came up with

I used black card stock and cut out the shape, than I used all the different colours to cut out all the little parts. The cart makes it pretty easy because the feature keys let you choose to cut the outfit, hair, wings etc. I cut everything at 9", and it all fits together. I cut out the scissors using the cart Happily Ever After. I put 3D crystal lacquer on the wings to make them shine. I also put crushed velvet on the pom poms (?is that what they are called? haha) on the shoes to give it a "fluffy" texture. I used a white gel pen all over the wings. Finally I added some Stickles to the boots, hairband and scissors. The letters were cut out using Opposites Attract.
I have to say that this is not something that takes only 10-15 minutes, it takes a LOT longer, especially for the first time. I think as I get better at it, it will take less time. The eyes were one of the hardest things to cut out and than stick on.
What to do for next time...
* measure out where everything is going, because I had some troubles with the legs.
* add some texture somehow on the outfit.
Hope everyone is having a great day/night!

oh my crafts order is in!

My OH MY CRAFTS ( package came today! It had my order as well as 2 co-workers. I got:

Cricut Jukebox
Paper Pups Cricut cart (yay!)
and some Cuttlebug embossing folders; Swiss Dots, floral fantasy & a Christmas one.

I can not believe how short the cord for the Jukebox is, its barely the length of my hand!! :(
I went to work today and had A LOT of pain, so I took lots of meds when I got home just so I could play with my Paper Pups cart! My neck is still hurting, but I did get to make a cute card. Here is a card I made for my Sister:

Its very plain, I didn't even use my Cuddlebug on it or anything. I think I am going to dress it up a little more later with some Stickles or something. I used Paper Pups to make the dog (which kinda looks like one of my Sister's dogs) and Opposites Attract for the lettering. I added a paper flower just to dress it up a little. I did not have any eyes, so I used 2 pearl stickers and coloured on them with a black Copic marker. To make the dog, I cut it out using the Blackout feature, then cut it again in a darker brown without any feature keys on. I simply glued it together with my Zig Two-way pen. I kept it simple due to not being able to sit for a long time, so this card took me about 15 minutes in total to make.
what I'd do for next time.....
*Cuddlebug some of it to give it some texture
* add some designer paper to give it a little flash
***********************Thanks For Looking!! :) ***************************************

my first scrap pages

Its really nice weather here today, 23C, just right! Due to the car accident I was in, its been really hard to sit in my scrapping room and work. So, for today I am going to add a few pages I was working on. PLEASE keep in mind these are my first pages I've ever put together! hahaha This was before I really knew what I was doing, as I work at them, I feel I get better and better. The Beach theme was was made with the Cart "Life is a Beach" that I borrowed from a Friend.

I thought this was a fun page! I put a postcard in the middle, than put all sorts of my extra stickers from the trip, and wrote "NEXT TIME...." and put all the different things I want to do on my next trip to Florida. I used different colour brads for each line:

The colour of these are actually a lot brighter & nicer, I took pictures of them, I think thats why I Got this sticker in Florida at a Walmart & I LOVE it!

a card I made

I stamped the image with phoebe "KETTO" stamp from Stamping Bella (

coloured it with copic markers, I used cardstock from atd Vibrant textured cardstock pad I bought at Walmart, I used my Cuddlebug on it, and some scrap ribbon from Michaels craft store. Pop dots were used to make the image pop up off the paper.
The colours on the picture did not come out as colourful as they actually are.

What I learned for next time.....

* make sure to measure the paper well before Cuttlebugging it, in order to make sure that it looks even on the paper! It wasn't that noticeable until I put everything together!
