something old to something new

The snow has finally melted, but who knows for how long! It has warmed up a bit, but to me it still feels like winter, not fall! Last night we met up with friends Ryan & Ashley and went to see the movie Law Abiding citizen at the movie theatre. It was a good movie, but made me jump a lot. I ended up having dreams last night of blood and scary stuff because of it! I HATE scary movies, and I never watch them ,but this was suppose to be a thriller not a horror movie, but it was still kinda scary!! (I know, I'm a wimp)
So the other night I was cleaning up my scrap room (Jon has been helping me to reorganize/change it around) and I found this old empty chocolate box and so I decided to make something out of it. I didn't bother to take out my cricut, but instead just used a stamp from the $1.50 bin at M's, my copics, some stickles and scrap pattern paper. I find the easiest way to fold paper around a box is to put it where you want, and than score it with a bone folder, it just works so much easier and smoother!

***The photo @ the top of post is the finished product inside. I covered up hershey's nugget chocolates, as well as layered the bottom with some bulk chocolates I bought from Costco.
the empty chocolate box I had, just clear plastic
after i decorated it with pattern paper (ps: I need to work on my bow tying, its embarrassing!)

This photo is just to show how I now organize my stickles. I use to have them in a drawer, and had to root through it finding the colours that I wanted, or I would use a different colour and realize after that I had a better one to go with the colours I was using. now I will not have that problem! This is just a cheap shelf that I bought at Ikea & Jon installed for me.
hope you are having a Fab day/night!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

UGGGG I ate WAYYY too much food tonight! Jon & I made a quick meal (he store bought turkey for himself) and we made stuffing (veggie for me, turkey for Jon), gravy, mashed potatoes, veggies, & rice yum yum yum!! My plate was all veggie friendly, and so delicious! We also had blueberry pie & turtle cheesecake!! We had to have a nap for like 3 hours we were so full, how sad is that!!
I am thankful for all the delicious food we are able to eat, my family & friends, Jon, my Puppies and our warm place (especially since it is snowing out again *sigh*)
Hope all my Canadian friends had a great Thanksgiving, and everyone else, yours is on the way! haha Take care xo

it snowed today, its october.... :(

WOW I haven't posted in a while, have not had the time to craft (how sad is that ) well I have sort of been crafting, but its been to help friends. Anyways, I finally got time to start on the Halloween stuff for my nephews/niece & my Mom's foster children. I actually made it up all by myself, I didn't get the design idea from anyone, so I am very impressed with myself! haha I love how the goodie bags with the bats turned out! The cat and the spider are cards, the cat is my fave! The bags are filled with candy corn and candy body parts, and than on the back I taped a small box of smarties because the bags I bought were not big enough. I just have a few more cards to make, I think I am going to do more of the cat ones, or maybe a card with mulitple bats on it. All of the cuts were made with Paper Doll Dress Up cart. That cart really gives you bang for your buck, there is SOOO much on it! I used a silver gel pen and stickles all over to make everything pop! The little characters are all propped up with pop dots.
Well I have a dentist appointment, so I gotta run, by the way, how much does the snow picture make you feel sick?!? I took that this morning, and its still coming down!!
Have a great day/nighT!
