What a week! I got back from London on Monday to find out that I would be starting a new position at work on Wednesday! Its in a different department and much different from my usual job. So all week I have been training ( and will be again next week ) and coming home with brain-overload! HAHA So I have done ZERO crafting :( I just have not had the time or energy! This weekend is a write off because there is so much to do ( groceries, cleaning, cooking etc ) So hopefully I will have some new stuff this week or next! Oh and next Saturday I am working a promotion for 9 hours, so we will see how much time I actually have!! I NEED to get some crafting in, I miss it!! haha Anyways, Robyn had a live show tonight and is having a giveaway! You can watch her show from tonight on her website, she always posts it later for people that miss it (I'm so glad she does, because when I was working shift work I sometimes had to miss it) So watch her video if you missed it and then comment what your favorite part was on her blog and you could win some AWESOME prizes!!!! Good Luck to everyone, and thanks to Robyn!!!!

Have a fab day/night!! xo

My Sponsor Child

Hi everyone,

I have not been posting anything new as I am still on holiday and away from my crafting stuff. Tomorrow My Sister "M" and I are going to Scrapping Great Deals for a Copic card class with Andrea and Angie!! I am SUPER excited because I do not get to go to them often, as I live in Edmonton, and only get to do them when I am here in London visiting. I'll make sure to post the cards this week sometime. The class is 3 1/2 hours long, and I think it will just FLY by!!

Also, I wanted to post my Sponsor Child. She is 6 years old and lives in Sri Lanka and is cute as a button! I have been sponsoring her for 2 months now, but I am still very excited about it. In her description it said she LOVES art, so I can't wait to make her some things and send it to her and her family! I am sponsoring her through Christian Children's Fund of Canada (CCF) It is something I always wanted to do, but for some reason didn't really get around to it. Finally I sat down at my computer and made the choice, and I am SOOO happy I did! Anyways, I'll add a picture of her and the bottom of this post.

I am leaving on Monday to go back to Edmonton and to go back to work (yuck!) I'll post some more pics and projects once I get back. My flight leaves at like 6:00 am in the morning (yuck again) and I have a 3 hour wait in Calgary, so its going to be a SUPER long day! oh-well!

Anyways, hope everyone is having a SUPER day/night! Take Care xo

yay yay yay I'm on a Holiday!

Hi everyone!

I am on a holiday for the next 2 weeks. I am in London, Ont visiting my parents, Sis, Brother and niece and nephew!! :) I did do a little crafting before I left, so when I get a chance I will post a few pics (my mac doesn't have the card reader, so I have to go use a different computer) We got in about 1:30 pm yesterday and at 7:30 I took a Copic class at Scrappin Great Deals taught by Andrea! It was awesome because I learned A LOT about copics that I didn't know. Even though I have had copics for like 10 months, I am still learning, I am like on a kindergarten/ Grade 1 stage! hahaha I think before I went to Andrea's class I was only daycare/pre-School hahaha! Andrea is awesome, and there were only 2 of us in the class, so we really had some good one on one time! I LOVE copics, and am very addicted, and so glad that I can come here to learn more stuff about them. Edmonton doesn't really have much to offer, and there are limited stores that sell them. Anywho, I'm off to have some lunch, hope everyone is have a Fab day/night!

Take care! xo

Kraftin' Kimmie's Birfday Challenge!!

Hi Everyone!!
Here is my take on Kimmie's Challenge this week. It is her Birthday Challenge, and I had a lot of fun doing this one! I used Kraftin' Kimmie's stamps on 2 out of 3 stamps! "The Furever Friend" is actually suppose to be "Furever FriendS" but I just didn't ink the "s" so that it would make more sense when I put Happy Birthday in front of it. The "Happy Birthday" is a C.C design stamp. I coloured my image with my Copics and added some DCWV paper. A little bling, a few Prima flowers, some ribbon & some Pop Dots and I was done!! I was originally going for a totally different colour theme, but I couldn't find the paper pad I was looking for. How I lose something like that in such a small space is BEYOND me, but I'm sure I will find it when I don't need it!! The colours in the picture look off from my original, but in real life they all match & are not so dark!! haha oh well! Make sure to go check out Kimmie's blog, and take part in the challenge, and check out her stamp site for lots more cute images! *click here*
Have a fab day/night!

*I've found another Aquarius like myself! :)

my first attempt at glass etching

This is my first attempt at glass etching. It was SUPER easy to do, and I LOVE how it turned out!! The picture does not do it any justice! It was super hard to get a picture, and sorry to say, this is the best I could do. I used a font that I had on my SCAL (sure cuts a lot) and lined it all up on the mat. Then I cut it out on scrap vinyl and carefully placed it on the glass. It was a little tricky because it is a bowl and very round, so it is very easy to get bubbles in the vinyl. I learned (after making 3) that the easiest thing to do, is start from the middle, then go to each side and smooth the vinyl out. I then added etching cream. The bottle says 60 seconds, but after reading some stories on the Cricut message board, I left it for 20, just to be safe!
I decided not to do a video this time, but maybe when I make another one I will! Anywho, sorry about the bad quaility picture! You should give etching a try!!! Have a fab day/night!!! xo

planned power outage

Hey Everyone!
So today is a planned power outage in my complex, and my day off. NOT a fun combo! For some reason I had this idea that I won't have tv, or phone, but I would have internet!?!?! Where I got a crazy idea like that I will never know, but needless to say, I have wireless internet, SO I did not have any access to internet today. I also didn't have any access to my Cricut, but I did make a simple card for Jon's Uncle that is in the hospital. I find it hard to make cards for men, because I just feel I can not use a lot of glitter, bling, frilly ribbon etc. I wasn't sure about the bunny rabbits, but I think I can get away with it in this situation! I coloured the stamp (House-Mouse "Wishin' Well") with my copics, added some DCWV sparkly paper, punched the bottom edge, and added a ribbon. The colour may look a little off in the picture, but everything matches. I also used Atyou Spica-gold to colour the coins and make them look sparkly :)
Also, I bought a small wooden easal at Ikea for $0.99, for displaying cards, but it was just plain wood and looked kinda yucky. I decided to dress it up a little, so I painted it with a shiny, glitter gold paint and added a few gems. I didn't want to do anything too crazy, because I didn't want it to take away from the creation I trying to show. I actually really like the way it turned out, and I think it will work out well!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm going to go work on a few things now that the power is FINALLY back on!! Hope you have a fab day/night! xo
